Features of the three wings of Indian Armed Forces
All these three wings of the Indian Armed Forces are known for their special features that distinguish them from one another. But, these elite forces serve the same purpose in different ways.
Indian Army forms a major part of the Indian Defense Forces as these protect us from the enemies and within country troubles. Indian Airforce plays an important role in backing up Indian Army by providing 24/7 surveillance and transport across most difficult and harsh terrains.
Indian Navy and Indian Coast Guards are the eyes and voice of India over the coastal region protecting the Indian Waters to be spoiled by Terrorists.
Indian Army
The Indian Army was established in the year of 1895 and has a size of about 1,325,000 personnel who are active, with around 136 aircraft and 2,143,000 personnel in the reserve section. The Indian Army further has 7 Commands namely Army Training Command, Eastern Command, Central Command, Northern Command, Southern Command, South Western Command and Western Command.

Indian Navy
The elite class of sea-borne force that works directly from the blue. The Naval command of India, the Indian Navy was established in the year of 1830 and is among the very first Armed Forces to be commissioned. The Indian Navy has a total of 58,350 personnel who are active and around 251 aircraft and 295 ships in total. Western Naval Command, Southern Naval Command, and Eastern Naval Commands are three 3 commands that surface in it.
Qualities required for enlisting in Indian Navy:

Indian Air-Force
Established in 1832, this air wing of the Indian Armed Forces has around 127,200 air-force personnel and about 1,721 to 1,724 to aircraft approximately. With the motto of Nabhaḥ Spr̥śaṁ Dīptam means to Touch the Sky with Glory, Indian Air-Force has a total of 7 commands viz. Central Air Command, Southern Air Command, Eastern Air Command, Western Air Command, South Western Air Command, Training Command, and Maintenance Command.
Qualities required for enlisting in Indian Air-Force:
