Firstly, there is the Computer Based Test (CBT). This is an online test and all the questions are objective type means you just have to select the correct option. Although, SSC GD Constable Syllabus is further divided into 4 parts i.e. General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Knowledge and General Awareness, Elementary Mathematics, and English/ Hindi.

Afterward, there is a Physical Efficiency Test (PET). After the CBT you have to face the PFT also, and to move further in the process you need to clear this step too. In this step, you will be tested according to the eligibility criteria like race completion. There is some relaxation for special candidates like candidates from the Ladakh region and candidates with ex-serviceman relations.

After this step, there is another one which is known as the Physical Standard Test (PST). In this test, the Physical Standard is being tested based on some measurements. Like Height, Weight, and Chest. In this test, there is some relaxation also.

After this, the final step is the Detailed Medical Examination (DME). All the candidates who cleared the previous test will be shortlisted for this step. Although, all the selected candidates are examined by the Medical Board constituted by the CAPFs. They are appointed to assess your medical and physical fitness for the post.

The full form of SSC GD is staff selection commission general duty. The Staff Selection Commission conducts the GD(general duty) exams every year for thousands of candidates.
