Myths in Regard to the Selection Centers

There are various myths that surround the selection centers that at times students who are NDA aspirants often get scared from appearing from these centers.

Allahabad center is a rejection center: It is often declared by many people as rejection board that majority of the rejections come from this board but the truth is far from this myth.

The calculation in this regard is very simple, Allahabad center being the largest board in terms of the selections and SSBs that come under it naturally has a huge volume of selection happening from this place. Due to the large surge in the students who appear from this selection center that’s a reason the volume seems to be huge here.

It is essential to keep in mind that there is no concept of hardboard as there is a fixed procedure in case of selecting students and the boards follow the same. Selection and Rejection both of these are done on the merits and demerits of the respective candidates.

The ratio of selection in different boards: There is no such thing as selection ratio because every selection board in India is guarded by the procedures through which they have to make the selection.

There is no arbitrary method of selecting the candidates differently at different centers, thus, there is no question of selection ratio. NDA selection is more about the ideology of learning from the previous mistakes on which the candidate was rejected.

It is a path of understanding where you are lacking and what you should improve. The vacancies available in NDA is very limited in nature so, being the best and thriving for the best is important rather than sitting and lamenting on the myths that one come across.

A good command in English helps in the recommendation: Having a good command over English can be helpful but it is not the final parameter on which the students are judged for the selection.

English is something that one can learn with time and that is definitely excused if there is enough determination to do what has come for.

Favouritism: Many people believe and tell the tale of favoritism that happens while in the selection centers. It is essential that you stay away from all these myths as they are categorized to bring down your confidence level and at the same time drain you mentally.

Nobody selects you on the basis of your background but your merit and capability to be defense personnel are what matters most.

Education: Another myth that needs to be quashed for good is getting an education from premium institutions with good grades. An individual’s educational qualification is important to crack the selection of NDA and not the institution that they come from.

NDA doesn’t run on the basis of how good your grades were, you have to pass laps to be in a position that others can only dream of.

The selection rate in all the selection centers across India is 100% based on the ability and the merit of the person appearing for the examination. These myths and many more have come and gone by but people who are really determined to crack NDA don’t pay any heed to these myths.

You will find few people who encourage others to excel in life but the number is huge when it comes to discouraging an individual. Your hard work and you can only beat these myths and prove that merit and confidence is what matters and not a myth.
