NDA is a national level entrance test conducted by Union Public Service Commission, twice a year. The exam is conducted for the selection of candidates in the National Defence Academy and ultimately making the deserving candidates a defense officer after 4 years. This is a long expedition and one has to cover miles to finally become an officer. But, it all starts with a single step, NDA written exam. NDA Admit Card 2023 – Steps To Download

It happens a lot, an aspirant apply for the NDA exam, buckle up the preparations and do all kind of important stuff, but don’t know how to access the NDA admit card 2023.

You must be well aware of the fact that offline admit card is a past thing. Don’t even think that they will send you an admit card to your mentioned address. You have to download it online. With the online process, things are getting accessible for people, but still, there is a mass number of the population who struggle to understand this process.

For making it a bit sorted, the procedure to download the admit card has been provided.

  1. Visit the official website of Union Public Service Commission, i.e. upsc.nic.in
  2. Search for the link “UPSC NDA exam admit card” on the home page.
  3. After the page is open, search NDA exam admit card using registration ID, or you can also mention your date of birth, in case if the RID got misplaced.
  4. Enter all the required credentials and click on the “submit” button.
  5. Print the admit card which is displayed on your screen.

It is mandatory for the candidates to carry the admit card to the examination hall or else they will not be given entry to the examination hall. You must carefully cross-check all the mentioned details in the admit card so as to avoid any inconvenience while appearing in the exam.

NDA Admit Card Details

This is very important for aspirants to carefully enter important details to download the admit card from the official website of UPSC. Registration ID, name, date of birth, roll number, and Father’s name are mandatory. If in case, you have misplaced your registration ID, don’t worry, simply enter your date of birth. It will work in the same way.
Once the admit cards get downloaded, check all the details printed on them.

Your admit card must have your roll number, name, date of birth, photograph, the name of the test venue, address of the test venue, date of examination, time of examination, and instruction list. There are many instances when spelling mistakes are suspected in the admit cards by UPSC. Take care of it, however, it is absolutely OK and can be corrected.

In fact, any alterity can be put right, all you need to do is to inform them with your details, incorrect details that you found, and corrections as you would want them, along with your registration ID. Mail the Commission as quickly as possible.

NDA Admit Card 2023 Release Dates

There are some important dates that a candidate needs to remember while filling up the application form for the NDA examination. The NDA I examination which is conducted somewhere in April, releases its admit card one or two weeks before the exam. UPSC conducts the NDA II exam in the month of September and releases the admit card at least one week before the exam.
You must download the NDA 2 Admit card 2021 at least 20 days before the examination date.

Important Points to Remember

The Admit card is the most important document to appear in the NDA written exam which is actually your identity card within the premises of the NDA exam center. So, it should be kept safe and must be carried to the examination hall.

There are some points which you should keep in mind to avoid the hustle at the last moment.

  • All the details mentioned in the admit card must be cross-checked. I find any discrepancy, inform me with details on upsc.nic.in
  • Aspirants are advised to carry at least two copies or a soft copy of the exam admits card, so that, in case one is lost, you will not have to use elbow grease at the last moment.
  • Take entry into the premises of the exam center 20 minutes before the scheduled time and do not take a mobile, calculator, etc. with you.
  • Carefully enter your details such as your name, age, date of birth, roll number, etc. in the OMR sheet. Refer admit card for accuracy.
  • Be vigilant in reading the instructions like marking schemes, pen/pencil use, the total time of test, etc. Neglecting a single point may cost you later.
  •  Two passport size photographs one for each session are also required, and in case, the photograph is not printed or is not visible on the e-admit card, candidates are advised to carry two identical photographs along with proof of identity.
  • If a candidate is not able to download his e-Admit Card, he may contact UPSC between 10.00 A.M. to 5 P.M. on working days.

What if I forget my registration ID? How can I get my admit card?

Don’t worry. The registration ID can be retrieved by entering the name, Father’s Name, Mother’s Name, and Date of Birth.

Which browser should be used to download the admit card?

Admit card download is best suitable on the latest version of Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox.

How do I correct spelling mistakes in NDA admit card?

First of all, there is no need to panic. Mistakes can be corrected in the admit card NDA written examination. When you were on the admit card download page, you should have seen this

So, all you need to do is to mail the authority with all the correct details along with the incorrect details which you have filled, corrections you want, and your registration ID. To be on the safe side and to speed up the process, send them a copy of your ID proof.

Do we need the admit card for NDA written exam during SSB?

Although, the admit card for the written exam is not required in the SSB. Still, I will recommend you to take it with yourself to be on the safer side. They generally ask you to show your call letter of SSB ( the hard copy of what you got in email), ID proof, and educational certificates at the time of documentation.

I have lost my original NDA UPSC admit card for the written exam and my SSB is next month. What should I do?

Basically, you don’t need your admit card at the time of SSB. The only use of the admit card was the roll number written on it. If you remember your UPSC roll number then there is no need for an admit card. Carry your SSB Call letter and valid ID proofs. It will be sufficient.

What should I do if unable to download UPSC admit card? 

There may be some problem with your browser. Try to download it from some other browser. If you are still unable to download the admit card, then, write your problem to UPSC at contact@upsc.nic.in
Aspirants are advised to keep their fee receipt and other details or a copy of their form submitted. It will be useful to show when asked by the UPSC.

Is a colored print out needed for UPSC admit card?

No, there is no need for a colored printout. Black and white will also do. Do remember that the photo in the admit card should be colored.

I have downloaded the UPSC admit card. If I drop this year, will my attempt be counted?

No, unless you attend the exam, despite downloading the UPSC admit card, your attempt will not be counted.

In case, if I don’t get the call letter of SSB but the official website referred to my name and roll number, then what should I do?

Request a call letter through the mail by calling the respective selection center, get the call letter, and go ahead.

      Hi Nikhil.
      There is no sectional cutoff marks in NDA exam. This means that you don’t have to pass each section separately. There is over all cutoff marks that you have pass and every year there is variation in it so you cannot predict exactly how many marks you will need to clear the written exam. We would recommend you to just be focus and keep on working hard.

      As, you have mentioned that you have completed your schooling and are looking forward to join Indiana army then the best option for you is NDA exam. Through this exam you will become an officer in army. This exam is quite difficult then the written exam of other post like clerk or soldier technical in army but at present you have this great opportunity to prepare for this exam. The age limit is more than 16 and half years an less then 19 and half years. Other then this you can also apply open rally bharti for post like soldier clerk and soldier technical. Both of the post have different education qualification criteria.

      Girls can join Indian army through CDS exam. First you have complete your graduation then you are eligible for CDS exam which is conducted by UPSC twice a year for recruitment in Indian Defense Academy, Indian Naval Academy and Indian Air Force Academy.
