### Preparation Tips – You Should Follow

Hope you haven’t found any problem while downloading the pdf files above, if you do then please let us know by mentioning it in the comment box below.

So, here are some important tips, tricks, and suggestions which you should follow while preparing for mathematics for the board exams.

**NCERT – the big thing**

Complete the NCERT textbook first, this is very important to do. One should finish up with the NCERT book before going to some CBSE 12th PCM reference books. Most of the questions come directly from the NCERT textbook on the board exam.

If you will practice the maths previous year or sample papers then you will come to know that all the questions are from the NCERT books. The way of asking the question may be different, but no one can say that the questions are out of the syllabus.

The best thing would be studying complete maths NCERT including miscellaneous exercises.

**Formula to learn Formulas**

No need to mention that maths is all about formulas, you will find yourself in some situations where the questions are pretty easy to answer but since you don’t know the formula therefore you have to leave it. Therefore to avoid such situations you should learn formulas.

Learn each and every formula, this is a must step, and you must learn each and every formula. You can get 15 extra marks just by remembering the formulas.

Maintain a pocket diary, write important formulas on it and keep revising it until you become the master in every formula and derivation.

Mug them or understand them, does not matter how you learn the formulas, but if it’s maths you are preparing then you have to learn the formulas.

**Practice it, reading won’t help**

Practice mathematics and not read it, Most of the students does not practice mathematics, they just read it out and think that they can do well in exams. But this is not like that, you must practice even an easy question with full attention and focus.

It often happens in maths that students think they can easily solve the questions, but later when the questions show up in the exam, then their mind goes blank. The only thing they remember at that time is the picture of the question and not the method to solve it.

**The Perfect time**

Practice mathematics at night time, during free time in school, and not in the morning. Use morning time to learn the formulas.

We get sluggish in our free time, therefore, it is hard to practice other subjects like physics and chemistry as they can get boring, but maths is a subject that will keep you busy.

Also, at night, our body is exhausted and tend to sleep, but again maths will keep you away from sleep. Since at night time, the noise and disturbance are less, therefore it is easy to focus.

**No loopholes**

Find out your weak points and work hard on them, clear your doubts with your friends and teachers before it gets too late.

This mistake costs a lot to most of the students, if you are facing problems regarding some question or topic then you should clear it right away. Now don’t tell me that you have no one to ask because there is always someone that you can ask.

Life is going to be hard for you if you feel shy to ask for your teacher’s help. So leave that attitude right now and go clear your doubts by asking them to your teacher.

**No sample papers, no 90+ for you**

Do not let any sample and previous year paper go. Solve them with full focus, this will make you predict the pattern of the board exams. Do you know that you can secure extra 20% marks just by solving the previous year papers?

Don’t be afraid of chapters like Integration. Just find the previous years questions of integration and solve them and other questions of their type. Most of the questions from integration repeat every year. So don’t practice useless questions.

Your chances to score more marks increases if you do practice sample papers and practice papers.

**Be brave**

Last and most important, don’t fear mathematics, practice it just like other subjects. Just feel it is easy and then start your practice with all your determination and concentration, you will definitely win.

So that’s all I have to say, hope these tips will help you in your board exams. Please feel free to drop your comments if you have any complaints or suggestions or queries to make.

All the very best for your board exams.

If my school staff, don’t give my admit card does it mean I can’t give class 12 cbse board? Is there is another way to take my admit card?

Hello Adarsh,

No if your attendance is upto the mark, then your school has no right to hold of your admit card. Once the admit card is issued by CBSE, then no one can hold your admit card. If your school still do so, then you can write to CBSE asking for the duplicate of the admit card, and also mentioning what your school did.

Hi Jyotish.

When you are preparing for some competitive exam along with your board exams then it is always recommended to study from refreshers along with NCERT books. NCERT books are helpful when it comes to clear your basic concepts but for exams like IIT JEE you have to study deeply and practice all kinds of questions so eventually you will have to study from other books also. But make sure that you first complete your syllabus from NCERT books and don’t just practice excersice questions but also examples and miscellaneous questions also. Afterwards move to other books. We would recommend you to first focus on your board exams because that should be your priority at present. Practice from previous year paper and sample paper also. Be dedicated towards your studies and you will clear the exam for sure.

And don’t be afraid of anything just keep yourself focused and be dedicated towards your studies. Regular study is very important. Keep on doing the hard work.

Maan i might get confident after solving all of them but something always fears /bother me tell me how to deal such stress.

Hi Aabidjamil.

Don’t get stressed, as it is not the time of getting frightened of the topic. Keep yourself calm and practice those questions with full dedication. At first attempt you will fail, at second you will fail, but at third or fourth attempt, you will start finding a change within yourself, you will be able to solve those questions. Just be dedicated and keep on practicing with complete dedication.

Hello mam!

I face a lot of problem in solving the questions.I have solved the NCERT but still which formula should be used where? Confuses me! And is the only reason why i am not able to make my maths grade equal with my commerce subject’s grades. It effects my overall percentage too

Please give me advice on how to improve this!

It will be a great help to me

Hi Sumedha. This is all due to lack of practice. May be, you have practiced a lot but there was lack of concentration. At this moment, when exams are around the corner, i would suggest you to practice by writing down the formula in each question.

Hi Predimzz.

Both the books are good, you can refer either of the two. But, as very less time is left, so, we recommend you to practice from sample papers and previous year question papers. Start giving 3-4 hours to your maths daily, and start practicing questions and likewise to others subjects also. Just keep on practicing. You will definitely get good marks.

Hi, its Saurabh, sir/mam i am about 3 months away from boards how can i better my calculus? Its not just based on those formulas coz there are some particular solutions of some ques. Do i have to learn them😟

Hi Saurabh. No, absolutely not. You don’t have to learn them. Just learn the formulas. Once, you will be done with them. Start practicing the questions. One time practice will not take you anywhere. Practice each and every question repeatedly until you get it from the core.

No they are not same,

Compartment exams are for those who fail in 1 or 2 subjects in regular exams.

Improvement exams are for those who want to improve their percentage of class 12th or 10th, one can apply for these exams while pursuing further studies.

Regular exams are the normal board exams.

And of course you can definitely score 40+ if you really prepare all the important questions of all the chapters, then i am sure that you will go way beyond 40’s.
