How To Study Business Studies To Get 90+

Business Studies is considered as one of the scoring subjects. You can boost your percentage by getting maximum marks in this subject. So, tie your laces and start your preparations for board exams keeping the following points in mind.

Regularity

Regularity is a key factor to achieve success. If you are not regular with your studies then you can never reach that magical number of 90. 1 hour a day regularly is a lot better than 5 hours per day before 10 days of exam. So, try to be consistent with your studies. The more regular you will be with your studies, the better you will score.

Clear Basics

One mistake that students often make is not clearing the basics. Jumping directly to the advanced topics won’t do any good, so whenever you start a new chapter, make sure you basics about that chapter are clear. If you are struggling to understand, then take help from your teachers or someone experienced.

Clean And Complete Notes

How frustrating is that moment when you finally get down to study only to find out that you have incomplete notes? I am sure 9 of the 10 times you will tend not to study. That’s what unorganized and incomplete notes do to you. So, from this day onward make sure you keep all your notes clean, organized and most of all complete.

Revision

Revision is one of the most important elements in the making of a 90+ percentage. Done with a topic! don’t just leave it for the last days to revise it. Time to time revision is very important, if you don’t revise things then you will definitely forget them with time, meaning you will have to start all over again next time when you will see that topic. So, fix at least one day in a week for revision.

How To Make Studying Easy

Studying is never easy if you are not interested in what you are studying. So, the first thing that you have to do in order to make the studying easy is, try and bring as much interest as you can. If it bores you studying from the books, then look online for the study material. The internet is full of knowledgeable content for any topic, and the best thing is that the content is presented way more interestingly than books (use of images, graphics and animation make it really attractive).

Here are some of the other points that will help in making the studying easy for you :-

Using Separate Notebook

Make it a habit of noting important points in a separate notebook, this notebook will prove it’s worth when you will sit to do the revision. We know that in every topic or answer there are certain points that are important, and the whole theory just revolves around those important points. So, note down only those points (in the most possible short way) which you know will help your brain to retain complete information about that particular topic.

Use Of Acronyms And Mnemonics

Acronyms are simply the initial alphabets of different words that combine to form a pronounceable word. e.g UNICEF (The United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund) UNO, CBSE etc.

“My very eager mother just served us nine pancakes” is one of the famous example of mnemonics to remember the solar system planet names in serial no.

Uses of acronyms and mnemonics can be relay very helpful in remembering the hard terms, also, it will add to your creativity. So, try to use these two techniques while studying, they will help you a lot. And do not forget to write the acronyms and mnemonics in the separate notebook.

Business Studies Board Exam Difficulty Level

Difficulty Level Will Come In Exam
Easy 30%
Average 50%
Hard 20%

Here is an approximation of how difficult or easy the paper will be:

30% of the paper will be easy as you can see in the table, 50% will be average and 20% will be difficult. This concludes that CBSE has got something for every kind of students, if you have the least interest in studies and just desire to pass then 33% easy paper is for you. If you are a mediocre and desire to score in 60 to 70 then easy and normal are there for you. And for those of you who have greater aims, then the whole paper is meant for you including the 20% of the difficult part.

On the day of exam make sure that you read the question paper very carefully and try to keep your answers ready for the VSA questions while you read the paper.

The half known questions are deadly as they waste too much of your time because you think you can complete them and end up wasting way much time on them, so try to answer those questions after you are finished with the one you know completely.

Don’t forget to go through your answer sheet at least once. And do not leave those questions that are of greater marks, but make sure you do them in the end if you don’t know the answer, they should not give the examiner hard time checking your copy. Know how strict is cbse evaluation process? to get an idea how you should write your answers.
