Make sure to prepare a chapter wise plan to study and revise. Prepare revision notes as you go as it will help reduce the revision time while revising previous lessons later on.

Mid Jan to Feb

Take this time to revise thoroughly and also prepare for the 12th board exams. Solve last year’s question papers after you’ve finished studying a certain subject. Time yourself while doing this to prepare yourself for the JEE exam time.

Follow these tips to stay motivated and study:

• Do not get stressed out by comparing yourself to others. You are your biggest competition and you need to compare your current performance with your past one to see the progress you’ve made.

• Try and solve problems on your own without looking at the solutions. This way you might build your own shortcuts and methods for problem-solving.

• It is a fact that you won’t be able to achieve an All India Rank if your peer group consists of students who have low motivation or drive to clear JEE. As harsh as it sounds, surrounding yourself with friends who don’t distract you, can make or break your exam preparation.

The right peer group will help you stay optimistic, energetic, charged and updated with newer ways of solving problems and also with the latest happenings.

• It may seem trivial to worry about your health during this crucial period but health comes first. Practice meditation and yoga daily and you’ll notice your confidence levels and ability to concentrate will increase. Also, you will be releasing the stress through these practices and attaining inner peace.

• Keep your phone away or switch off your phone to resist temptation. Use it only while checking exam related information or updates.

• Always keep a printout of your syllabus on your study table. Tick the topics that you’ve finished to keep track of the progress.

• Depending on your energy levels and your ability to concentrate, try and study at least 12- 15 hours in a day.
In the end, every day you study motivate yourself with the image of your future where you don’t look back and say that you didn’t try hard enough. Keep calm, give it your 100% and come back successful!
