How To Score 90+ In Social Science Board Exam

Have you ever got a taste of above 90’s in the exam? I’m sure you want to if the answer is no! and what would be a better time than board exam to do so.

Anyone can do that, you just need some discipline, passion, and dedications in you. I know this sound very boring and so not interesting, but it is what it is.

If you are willing to do some sacrifice, then these tips will help you.

The Time Table

First of all, you need to have a timetable, the more organized you are the more time you will save. So work out a time schedule for yourself. You can take an idea from the dummy time table given below:

5 Am – 7:30 Am – Social Science

7:30 Am –  break

10 Am – 1 Pm – Maths

1 Pm – 2:30 Pm – break

2:30 Pm – 5 Pm – English and Hindi

5 Pm – 7 Pm- break

7 Pm – 9:30 Pm – Science

9:30 Pm- 10:30 Pm – break

10:30 Pm – 10:55 Pm – quick revision of all subjects

11 Pm – go to sleep

This is just to show you how you can plan your timetable to prepare for board exams. You can make your adjustment or a whole new timetable, but the point is that you should have a timetable that should be followed with dedications, then only you can think of scoring beyond 90’s.

Take Extra 30%

Keep one thing in mind while you are making a timetable that, you take 30% extra time, e.g if you have decided that you will give 2 hr. to maths, then mention 2hr and 30 minutes in your table because spending exact time is practically impossible.

It may happen that you get engaged with some other activity which is more important at that time, that is why always take 30% extra time to set deadlines. This is how big projects work, they take 30-40 percent extra time then they theoretically need.

Take It Easy Initially

A common mistake that people do is that they make a time schedule that is too hard for them to follow, and therefore eventually give up and return where they started.

For example, if you can not site more than 1 hr to study, then how come you will suddenly increase your capacity to 7 or 8 hr’s. Hence, initially set the time for 2 or 2:30 hr. Once you get used to it, then increase the time. Simple as that! So take it easy, start low then gradually take things to next level.

Easy Ways To Learn Social Science

Thankfully unlike other subjects social science does not need too much of practice and extra-logical mind. Just remembering the content would be more than enough.

Mugging Up Isn’t The Way

And by ‘remembering’ i do not mean mugging. there is a big difference between mugging and remembering things. When you are mugging that means you have no idea what actually you are reading and neither will your mind hold that information for a long time.

That is why you need to memorize things by understanding them.

Take And Make It Easy

Do not try to mug up the answer as they are in your notebook, make answer in your own word. If English is hard for you then try it in Hindi, and when you understand it in Hindi then translate it in English. This will make it so simple for you.

Most people will advise you to write answers to memorize them, but tell you what, it is very time-consuming and of course totally exhausting technique. The better way would be, write only a few points that will trigger your mind to bring information about the answer. This trick is very useful for history.

Subjects like social science are very easy for those who have a better common sense, because almost 40% of the answers can be written using common sense, hence, try to use it as much as you can.

Other Tricks

Try to make it interesting for yourself, associate information with things that you can easily remember (mnemonics), this is one of the best techniques to remember things. Develop a habit of practicing this technique, it will make your memory a lot sharper.

Group studies can be very effective if done wisely. So ask your friends to join you while studying and discuss answers with each other, but you need to be very focused and keep your mind restricted, as you will be tempted to do some chit chats.

I can keep writing stuff like this, but it will be useless if you do not follow the above-mentioned tips, so just pay attention to these tips (especially the time table) and you will definitely score 90+.
