  10. Kolkata Medical College: One of the oldest medical colleges in India that were set up by Lord William Bentinck in the year of 1835. The college has its affiliation with NITTE university which is a deemed one and an autonomous body. The 2.5 acres of the campus was founded by the retired justice K.S.Hegde. The college offers more than 22 specialized courses in the field of medicine to the students. The whole admission process in this college is conducted through the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test that is held every year by the Central Board of Secondary Education.
