How To Prepare For Class 12th History

Though, all the subject needs almost same pattern of studying, but using few different techniques in preparing different subject can help scoring better marks. Below are some tips and tricks that may help you to prepare history in a much better way.

Let teacher do the hard work

History of 12th class has 3 books, which means that you will need enormous time to read all three books. So, let the teacher do the hard part, all you have to do is listen what the teacher is saying in the class. They have years of experience and know exactly how much is needed to study.

So, do not miss your history classes and try to listen to your teacher carefully. Try not to sit with your pals during class, they are the main cause of your distraction. If possible, then choose the front row benches.

Make your own notes

History is all about dates, and facts. Learning facts is easy if they are written in your own language, don’t just depend on the notes that you get from the class, try to make your own notes. If there is something that you think is important, then note it down in a separate notebook.

If it’s hard for you to remember things in English, then write the points in Hindi, you can translate them later when required, the important thing is that you remember the point.

Fun learning

Learning becomes fun if you make it so. Instead of studying history, try to visualize it, take it as a story. Relate characters and dates with real life entities, you will never forget things once you start relating them.

To remember dates you can create charts and stick them on the walls of your room. This way they will always be there in front of your eyes, and the more you will see them, the better you will remember the dates.  The Internet is an infinite source of knowledge, don’t just hang around facebook or WhatsApp, use it to gain knowledge. Internet will provide and interactive learning, which will help you to remember things better.

Test yourself

Practicing sample papers and previous year papers is one of the best ways to know the important questions from exam point of view, but this is not the only use of them. You can test yourself by practicing the sample papers and previous year papers. Set timer for 3 hours and solve the paper as it is your original board exam.

Point out where you are lacking and work on the weak points. This is the most efficient way to practice for the board exam.

On Board Exam Day

Try to reach the exam center at least 15 to 20 minutes early, and do not take any notes or reading material there. Last minute reading will just create confusion.

When you are in the exam hall, before you get the question paper, take few deep breaths and try to relax. Do not try to recall anything, just stay calm. When you get the paper, read each and every question with complete attention. Then mark out those questions that you know you can solve completely. Set time boundations for each question, and try to complete the question in the set time limit.

Make sure that you highlight the important points with a black pen, and present your answer in attractive and clean writing. Good presentation gives a positive impression to the examiner, which will work in your favor. Make sure you do not leave any question, even if you do not have any idea about the question, still write something.

But do not attempt the unknown questions at starting, write them when you are done with all other questions, else it can frustrate examiner. Be sure to make time for reading your answer sheet at least once.

Take care of these points in the exam hall, and you will surely be able to give your best.
