Despite facing so many protests from different parts of the country by youngsters, the Indian government is moving forward with agniveer recruitment process under the agnipath scheme. According to the Agneepath yojna, the recruitment for the Indian army, Indian airforce, and Indian navy will be done only for 4 years. This scheme by the government of India is a new initiative to remodel the structure of all three forces.
This new recruitment process will save a lot of money for the government in the long run. Though this decision was not welcomed by most of the youngsters and protested against it, it’s almost certain that all three forces will stick to it and will carry out the Bharti according to Agnipath.

Agniveer Recruitment For Indian Army – 2022
The army is not just a profession to earn daily wager for youngsters in India. It is more of a passion, and maybe this is why they were disappointed to know that even if they get selected for the army, it will be for just 4 years. Like it or not, it looks like this is how things will be now. The government is looking pretty determinant to enforce the agnipath scheme.

Here are the important points that you should know before applying for the recruitment:
- The upper age limit to apply has been raised from 21 years to 23 years. The age limit is now from 17.5 years to 23 years.
- Selected candidates will only serve for 4 years. After 4 years, based on the performance and other factors only 25% of the total selected candidates will be recruited permanently.
- The rally will be organized only once a year for each RTG zone.
- As per the rules of the new recruitment scheme, the number of vacancies will be fixed for each year. This year the number is set to 25000.

Eligibility For Army Agniveers
The eligibility criteria are almost same for all trades (except the age limit) in the army. Here are some underlying information about the eligibility.

Earlier the upper age limit for army GD was 21 years, but due to certain circumstances, the government was forced to make it 23 years. It is highly unlikely that the upper age limit will be 23 years, chances are that it will be changed back to 21 after 1 or 2 years.

Online Application Process, Admit Card & Syllabus
Candidates who had passed the physical prior to the corona pandemic, their selection stands cancel, meaning they will have to register and go through the physical test again. This is obviously heartbreaking to people who were already selected.
The online application process for this year’s agniveer recruitment has started from 1st July 2022 and will end on 30th July 2022. The admit card for accepted applications will be sent on the registered email id within 10 to 15 days of closing of the online application.
Selection Process
The selection process will remain the same as before i.e first the candidates will have to go through the PET (physical eligibility test), and only those candidates who qualify in all physical tests will be allowed to go to the next round i.e medical test.
Once a candidate is declared fit then he/she gets the admit card for the CEE (common entrance exam) also known as a written exam which is held within 30 days of the medical test. The final selection is done on the basis of a merit list and the selected candidates are then called for training.
Salary Of Agniveers In Army
The people enrolled as agniveer will have the following salary structure:

The recruitment process for the Indian navy will also remain the same as before. Only a few things have changed. Following are the details of navy bharti.

The no. of vacancies for the Indian navy is just 2,800. Though this number is way lower than the army, this could be a good thing for those candidates who are looking to get into the navy as this means that fewer people will apply and hence less competition.
