3. Books for IIT JEE Mathematics (Mains and Advanced)

For the first round of preparation of Mathematics, only NCERT books Volume I and Volume II covering class XI and class XII syllabus are sufficient. Apart from it, Higher Algebra by Hall and Knight is good. “Problems in Calculus of One Variable” by I. A. Maron is great. Co-Ordinate Geometry and Trigonometry by S. L. Loney are indispensable to go in-depth.

Tata McGraw Hill publication’s “Complete Mathematics for IIT JEE Main” is the best book for the required purpose. Arihant publication’s book on Algebra, Differential Calculus and Integral Calculus with the same names are extremely important for both IIT JEE preparation and Maths Olympiad preparation.

4. Other Important Books for IIT JEE Mains and Advanced

For JEE Mains special preparation, IIT Mathematics by M. L. Khanna and Objective Mathematics by R. D. Sharma are exceptionally great for their resources. Since the syllabus is quite vast, regular studying, making brief notes or listing the important formulae and revising the previously learned concepts can save a lot of your time.

Strategy to Cover Whole Syllabus and Juggling with IIT JEE Preparation

 The first thing every IIT JEE aspirant should do is to clear the basic concepts of all the subjects. Then it comes to develop the skill for numerical problem-solving. The first year in class XI should be spent in going through the core textbooks as suggested above. Simultaneously, practicing IIT JEE past paper questions from each chapter within stipulated timeline would be sufficient for time management.
