Changed exam pattern of business studies

Here is a short description of how the exam format/pattern is going to be this year:

The question paper will be of total 10o marks and students will get 3 hour time to complete it. The question paper will be divided into two parts, part 1 and part 2.

part 1: The questions asked in this questions will be compulsory to answer and they will be short answer type questions. This part will contain total 30 marks.

Part 2: In this part students will be given choice to attempt any 5 questions out of 7. Each question asked in this part will be of 14 marks, so do attempt all the questions even if you know very little about the answer. This part will be of total 70 marks.

To know your complete syllabus and to know more about your paper pattern please visit the official website of ISC which is www.cisce.org.

What should I do 2 months before the final exam?

Well if you have completed your syllabus well before two months or so of the exam date, then the answer is simple for you, just do revision and practice as much sample papers as you can. For those of you who are yet to finish your syllabus, try to complete it as soon as possible, no matter how much syllabus you have completed just make sure that you give a reasonable time for revision of whatever you have learned.

And finally, if you are just at the initial stages or just starting now, then try to follow the below-mentioned routine if you do not want to spend your next year again in class 12th.

5 Am – 7:30 Am – study

7:30 Am –  break

10 Am – 1 Pm – study

1 Pm – 2:30 Pm – break

2:30 Pm – 5 Pm – study

5 Pm – 7 Pm- break

7 Pm – 9:30 Pm – Study

9:30 Pm- 10:30 Pm – break

10:30 Pm – 10:55 Pm – quick revision of what you studied whole day

11 Pm – go to sleep

It is not necessary that you follow just the exact timetable, make one that suits you the best but the thing is that you have to make a proper time table and start following it religiously. I’m pretty sure that if you have not started with this subject then you haven’t started your studies in any other subject, and if it so then you will be in a big problem if you do not control yourself.

The above mentioned time table is not just for beginners, even students who are on the revision process can follow this timetable or any other timetable, but they can enjoy the leverage of spending a bit less time on studies than those who are just starting.

What should I do 5 days before the exam?

Well if you are unable to finish your syllabus by now, then that’s it. Now instead of trying to learn new things you should make yourself stronger on topics that you have learned. If you don’t give time for revision then everything is going to mess up in your mind on the exam day and this will be very bad for you. So leave it what is yet to be learned and revise what you have already studied.

While for those of you who have been revising for past couple of months, it’s time you give yourself a quick look of all the topics again to make your preparations rock solid.

One night before exam – don’t choke

I have seen choking one night before the exam (not that they were literally choking) even when they have worked hard the whole year, therefore, I would advise all the students to keep calm and believe in themselves. First of all, remember one thing that even if you have prepared just the 40% of the syllabus then you will get through the exam.

So you see there is nor reason to fear, the ISC wants to see you get passed out of 12th class that is why they have made such a flexible and simple paper pattern and syllabus, and trust me the examiner that will check your answer sheet would want the same, they only thing is that you should write something which I’m sure you will.

But that does not mean you take it too easy, just try to give your best. So if you fell like cooking one night before the exam just reminding yourself the things that I have mentioned.

Hope this article was helpful for you, all the best for your exams.
