With AIMS in place it has become extremely easy and convenient for the railway staff members and officers to download their individual salary slip for each month whenever and wherever they like. But adapting to new things is always hard and specially for those who are not familiar with the concept of online information.

As it turns out, despite having the AIMS portal online, there are many railway workers who do not know how to use this system for their convenience. They just don’t understand it. To help such people here is the step by step guide to use the AIMS portal.

Lets begin with how to register on AIMS portal.

Step 1:

The first step is to visit the official website that Indian railways have specially dedicated to AIMS. The name of the website is www.aims.indianrailways.gov.in.

Just copy and past the given address on your browser’s address tab and hit go. The website will look like this:

Step 2:

When you are in the official website, you will see the link as “Employee self service”, click on that link to proceed.

Step 3:

After clicking on the link a new tab will open where you will be asked to enter your email ID and password. Since, you are not registered yet, therefore, you do not need to fill it. Scroll down and you will see a link as “New User Registration / नया उपयोगकर्ता पंजीकरण”, just click on it.

Step 4:

Again a new tab will open when you click on the link. On the left there are instruction regarding how you can proceed to register yourself in the AIMS portal. On the right you will see a form in which the following details will be asked :

1. Employee number
2. Mobile number
3. Date of birth

The format to enter date of birth is – ddmmyyy. Example : if your date of birth is 15th August 1993, then this is how you should enter it 15081993 (notice that there are no spaces in between).

Step 5:

After submitting the right information, a new window will appear where you will be asked to enter the password. Don’t worry!  the system will first verify the details given in the registration form with the bio data available in IPAS. If details match correctly then initial password is sent on the mobile number provided in the form.

You can enter that password  in the screen and then click on “Register and Login” button. And if everything goes well, then you will be able to see the home screen of RESS (Railway Employee Self Service) and from there you can get your railway salary slip.

How To Check Railway Payslip Online Using AIMS Portal?

Now that you have registered yourself in AIMS portal, you can now login in any time. The process to login is pretty simple and anyone can do it without any problems. But still, here are the simple steps to sign in to AIMS portal and check railway payslip online.

1. Visit the official website www.aims.indianrailways.gov.in.
2. Click on the “Employee self service” link.
3. Enter the registered email id and password.
4. Click on the “submit प्रस्तुत करें” button.

note:- In any case do not share your personal information like employee name, password, OTP etc. In some recent happenings, people have reported fraud due to sharing of these information.

After registering him/her self on AIMS portal the railway employee will get instant access to his/her financial data, personal details, salary slip for any year like 2024, salary info, the amount deducted from their salary for different activities, PF etc.

AIMS Portal Forgot Password Recovery

With so much going on online it ‘s common to forget password these days. If you too have forgotten your password for AIMS Portal then don’t worry! you can recover and reset your password easily. Here are the steps to recover you password:

1. Click on the “Forgot Password? / पासवर्ड भूल गए ?” option available at the bottom of login form.
2. In the new tab you will need to enter your:
   1. Adhar number (in the user id box).
   2. Mobile number
   3. Date of birth
3. Click on the “submit प्रस्तुत करें” button.
4. If all the details are correct then a new password will be sent on your mobile number, enter the new password and click on “Register and Login”.

Since majority of the population in India is using internet through mobile devices like smart phones and tablet, therefore it seems just logical for Indian railways to make an android app for AIMS portal. The railway employee can not download railway salary slip with the AIMS mobile app.

The app is available on Google Play store by the name “RESS”. But, let me warn you that this app is not as good as it may sound. Most of the people have given it bad reviews and have reported multiple problems regarding the working of this app. Most of the users who have commented on this app have given negative reviews about it.

May be they will fix the bugs in AIMS app soon, but for the time being it looks like this app is not living upto the expectation of people.
