The objective of the curriculum for Class 9 provided by CBSE is to achieve excellence in learning. The syllabus of Class 9th is based on NCERT Curriculum and designed on the basis of the National Curriculum Framework 2005. The CBSE syllabus pattern of Class 9th and 10th are similar the only difference is the course content and internal assessments.

CBSE Syllabus for Class 9 Maths (2022)

In the Class 9th Maths, there are 6 units. The maths syllabus is designed to aim at enhancing the skills of solving life daily life problems and the ability of students to solve problems using algebraic functions, trigonometry, etc.

CBSE Syllabus for Class 9 Social Science (SST) (2022)

Social Science also knows as SST (Social Science Technology). Social Science is a mandatory subject for Class 9. The objective of this subject is to learn and understand History (National & Internation), Geography, Political Science, and Economics.

The annual exam of Social Science will be of 80 Marks and the internal assessment will be of 20 Marks. And together it becomes a total of 100 Marks for Social Science (SST) subject of Class 9th.

The course structure of Class 9 Social Science is made up of 4 units. And there are a total of 15 chapters within these 4 units. Here is the course structure of the class IX unit wise along with periods and marks.

English Subject for class 9th is ‘English Language and Literature’ and has code no. 184. ‘English Language and Literature’ has three sections Reading, Writing & Grammar, and Literature.

The annual exam for Class 9 English holds 80 marks and 20 Marks for internal assessment which together makes 100 marks for this Subject.
