ISC 12th Biology latest exam pattern and syllabus

I’m sure you know your syllabus quite well, but still here is a short list of the units and topics that are in your syllabus this year.

Syllabus

Unit 1 – Origin and Evolution of Life: – Origin of life, Theories of evolution.

Unit 2 – Multicellularity: – Plants, Animals.

Unit 3 – Genetics

Unit 4 – Applications of Biology: – Crop improvement, Biotic community, Biodiversity today, Biofertilizers, Human Diseases, Adolescent issues, Biomedical Engineering, Human population, Animal Husbandry.

Paper pattern/Format

The question paper will be of total 70 marks (remaining 30 marks are for the practical exam) and students will get 3 hours to complete the paper. The question paper will be divided into 2 parts.

Part-1: All the questions asked in this part of the question paper will be short answer type questions and are compulsory to answer. This part will be of 20 marks in total.

Part-2: This part is further divided in 3 section A, B, and C. Section A will carry 3 questions out of which you are to attempt any 2, each question will be of 5 marks in this section.
