SSC (Staff Selection Commission)

On 26 September 1977, the name of Subordinate Service Commission was changed to Staff Selection Commission. On 21 May 1999, the function of SSC is redefined by The Government of India through the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances. That’s where the SSC full form has been driven.

On 1 June 1999, the new function and constitution of SSC introduced. So, every year jobs for these posts released by the Indian Government to recruit many different persons to the post. SSC Constable GD

SSC CGL

Now let’s talk a little about the SSC CGL job post. In this post, if you want to apply you should have a bachelor’s degree at that time. Also, women can apply for the post with the benefit of exemption from the application fees. This exam has various tiers which are conducted on different days.

So, in previous times there is an interview test that happens after the written but according to the new rules, the government removed the interview test. In place of interview, they put the computer proficiency test or a skill test for some post.

In the 2018 exam, there is a total of 8 tiers i.e. prelims, main exam, descriptive, computer proficiency test. Also, in 2016 the exam held in 44 batches across the 96 cities. In which a total of 3.8 million candidates apply for the post out of which only 10,661 candidates are able to pass all 4 tiers.

However, this is the exam only for the recruitment of the Grade ‘B’ and Grade ‘C’ category. From the 4 tiers, 2 tiers held online whereas the 2 tiers held offline mode. SSC CHSL

Now let’s talk about the last but not least post of SSC i.e SSC CHSL. Through this post, candidates can be recruit as LDC, JSA, PA, SA, and DEO in various departments of the Government of India. Also, this is an exam of All India Service Liability (AISL). In other words, if you are selected for a post, then you may be asked to serve anywhere in the country.

So, What is SSC CHSL means? It means it is a post for (10+2) level which includes various posts as mentioned above. The SSC (Staff Selection Commission) conducts the SSC CHSL exam every year for the candidates. SSC releases the notification for the exam.

      The eligibility criteria for both SSC CGL and RRB exam is graduation pass. And as you have mentioned that you are in B.Sc second year so, at present you are not eligible to apply for these exam. If you want you can apply for SSC CHSL(Combined Higher Secondary Level) Exam. For this exam the eligibility criteria is 10+2 pass.

  10. Hello sir. I just passed out from class 12th with arts. Can I give exam for SI and head constable for Delhi police.

      For the post of Delhi Police head constable the Age limit for the male candidate is 18 to 21 years of age and for the female candidates is 18 to 25 years of age. The qualification required for the position of constable is 12th pass and for the position of Head constable is a graduate degree. Since you are only 12th pass so, you can only apply for constable post and not head constable. And for SI post also you must posses Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized university or equivalent. We would recommend you to continue your higher studies at present so that you can apply for higher post.
