Indian Army Merit List 2024 – Final Merit List Declared
Indian Army Merit List 2024 – Declared Download PDF: Out of thousands, not even hundreds make it to the end, which is quite unfortunate. But that ultimately show you the level of competition for Indian territorial army. The hardest and the first part to get through the army open Bharti (for soldier GD (general duty), soldier technical, soldier clerk/SKT, soldier tradesman, soldier nursing assistant) is running, and most of the candidates are kicked out in this section of the rally.
After running, then it’s pull-ups, balancing and other rounds of physical test that a candidate has to pass in order to get selected for the next round, which is the medical test. In the medical test, candidates are examined for any medical issues, and when candidates get through the medical section then finally they reach to the final stage of army recruitment, which is written or conman entrance exam (CEE).

After the written exam, candidates then have to wait for the merit list or cut off list. The criteria of merit list for different categories are different, e.g for GD and tradesman, the merit list is made on the basis of PET + written exam, while for other trades the merit is based on just written exam.

Indian Army Merit List 2024 – Final List Declared
Following are the merit list distributed according to different trades in army and date of Bharti rally.
Note: – please note that the merit list/ cut off list will be available as soon as it is declared officially, therefore if you do not get your merit list right now, then it may be because it has not been released yet. So users are advised to visit again to download the merit list.

Soldier GD
Merit for GD = PFT (100 marks) + written (100 marks)
Those who are recruited in Indian army as soldier GD, are the one who get to face all the action in the army. Most of their work deals with physical strength and learning warfare and combat techniques.
This is the toughest of all the trades in the Indian army. A soldier GD goes through the furnish of hard and tough training and drills. So if you are to join Indian army as soldier GD, then you gotta be tough mentally and of course physically.
Soldier Clerk/SKT
Merit for clerk = written exam only (200 marks)
All the candidates who get selected as soldier clerk/SKT have to deal mostly with documentation and paperwork, this means that you will not have to do much of the physical task, but you got to show your mental and writing skills there.
People may say that clerks are not as actionable as soldier GD’s, but that’s not true, clerks are one of the main trade of the army, as they maintain the administration to function smoothly. Each and every record is maintained by clerks.
Soldier Technical
Merit for technical = written exam only (100 marks)
People who get in Indian army as soldier technical has to act as the technical support for the army, as they have to deal in technical tasks like performing some kind of computer related task etc.
You do not have to go through much of the physical tasks, but daily PT and exercises and afternoon games are compulsory for every trade.
Soldier Tradesman
Merit for tradesman = PFT (100 marks) + written (100 marks)
Many will say that a soldier tradesman is not as good as Soldier Gd or soldier technical, just because they deal with small jobs, but as they say “no job is big or small, it’s just the thinking of a man which can be big and small”.
I would say that tradesmen are as important as any other part of the army. If they stop doing their work even for one day, people will be in great trouble.
Nursing Assistant
Merit for NA = written exam only (100 marks)
If you are in the nursing assistant department then you are surely from the biology background. People in the nursing department can be considered as the angels of god, as they save lives of people and serve those who are weak and sick, and that is the real way to go to heaven.
So you should be proud of yourself for doing such a great job.
How to download Indian army merit list from official website
In case if you are unable to download the cutoff list for the given links, or if you wish to visit the official website and then download the merit list from there, the following are the steps that will help you to download the cutoff list from the official website of Indian army:-
- You will need to visit the official website of Indian army which is www.joinindianarmy.nic.in.
- Then you will need to enter the captcha code that you see in order to proceed to the website, enter the correct captcha and click on the “enter website” button.
- When you are on the homepage then scroll the page to the bottom and there on the bottom left corner you will see a file named as “Rally Schedule“. In that tile click on the “view all” button (at the bottom).
- In a new window, you will be able to see all the new notifications related to open rally, but you have to look for the merit list of desired trade, and when you find it just click on the link.
- When you will click on the link, then again in a new tab you will be able to see the merit list, you can download it by clicking on the download button (floppy icon) and download the list, or you can take a print out of it.
In case, if you got less number in any subject and you have not to get the place in merit list then don’t be sad and try again. Follow the tips and tricks, how to prepare for Indian army? and definitely, your name will be mentioned in the top or next Indian army bharti merit list.
So this is how you can download the merit list from the official website, but you should know that the official website takes too much of time to open, and on some days it won’t even open due to slow server, therefore I would advise all the readers to download the merit list from this page.

What if you are selected?
Let me answer this one question for you, what if you are selected? you will be happy and, of course, you will party, but I am talking about what will happen professionally. If you have no clue what will happen next, here is what you will be doing now.
First of all, you will get a call letter in which you will be given all the details and information about the location that you have to go for training.
Next you will be gone for at least 9 months away from your family to the training location. The initial training of a recruit is said to be the toughest time of his life.
You will be tested to your limit, both physically and mentally, you will have to live strictly according to the rules and with great discipline. Everything you do will be done according to time, you will eat on time you will sleep on time.
These 9 months of training is all about learning discipline, therefore if you lacked disciple until now, then be prepared because your life is about to go upside down.
Remember you will not be considered officially as Indian soldier until you complete your 9 months of training, that means you job is not sure till you complete the training.
Guys who have not been away from home for a long time may even fall homesick, but worry not after 6 months of training you will get the chance to visit your home for few days and the remaining 3 months training will proceed when you return from home.
This training time is also known as basic training or boot camp, and everyone has to go for this training, not even officers are exempted from this training. After the boot camp is over, then the recruits are sent for the Advanced Individual Training (AIT) where they learn all the necessary skills needed to carry out their duties.
Officers trainees go for detailed training in officer training academy.

The merit list for soldier technical is made on the basis of CEE. Candidates are just required to qualify the physical test. The maximum marks for written exam is 100. So, there cut off for technical can not go above 100.

Yes there is difference in marks of NCC certificates. In certificate ‘A’ there is 5 marks bonus for all trades. In certificate ‘B’ there is 10 marks bonus for all trades and in certificate ‘C’ the written exam is exempted for Soldier GD CEE and 15 marks bonus for remaining trades.

First of all congratulations on clearing all the rounds and finally getting selected. Now that your name was listed in the final merit list so within a month you will receive your call letter in which your date/time and where you will have to report will be mentioned. It is not necessary that your training will be going to held in BRC Dhanpur, you might have to report somewhere else also.

But the minimum age required for Indian army is 17 and half and as you have mentioned that you are only 16 years old so, at present you are not eligible for any post. What you can do is prepare for NDA exam. I’m sure you must have heard of NDA exam which is for 12th appearing or 12th pass out student who wants to join Indian armed forces as an officer. The age limit criteria for NDA is 16 and half to 19 and half years. This exam is held by UPSC twice a year. You can prepare for NDA-I for next year. Other then this since you are pursuing B.A so after completing your graduation you can apply for CDS(combined defense services)exam. This is also held by UPSC but only for graduates who aspires to join Indian armed forces. So, these are your options. I would recommend you to prepare for NDA as you have this golden opportunity. Indian army does not release the cutoff marks only the names of the finally selected candidates is present in the merit list. For the post of clerk the final merit list is based on the written exam and physical fitness test(PFT) is just qualifying round. The timing for 1.6 km race is same for everyone. There is no relaxation given in this based on relationship certificate or anything else. If you complete the race in 5 min 30 sec 60 marks will be given and if you take 5 min 31 sec to 5 min 45 sec then 48 marks will be given.

The education qualification criteria for the post of clerk is 60% aggregate and 50% marks in each subject in 12th. And you must have studied Maths/ Account/Book keeping and English in 12th or 10th and must have scored 50% in each of these subjects. As, you have not mentioned what subjects you had in 12th class make sure you fulfill all the criteria that are mentioned above only then you are eligible for the post.

There are three types of bharti i.e all over India, state bharti and district bharti. As, you have stated that you have already given exam for the post of clerk, you can apply only for all over India bharti and in those rally that are going to be held in your state or district.

The minimum marks that he need to score is 32 marks, and yes, if he will score full marks, he will definitely be selected, and there is no advantage given in written on the basis of relation certificate, it is only given in pft.

No Sushil, for sol.technical the merit list is made on the basis of, marks scored in written exam only. Though marks scored in physical also matter, but it’s mostly about written exam.

Hey Mahendra, first of all let me tell you that army do not have the quota rule, marks are given to candidates on the basis of their performance. Concession is only given to the candidates who have special certificate like NCC, relation etc. Since, you have got 88 in physical and you are expecting 82 marks in written exam, therefore, your chance of making in the merit list are pretty good. But i do not guarantee it.
