Preparation Tips – You Should Follow

Hope you haven’t found any problem while downloading the pdf files above, if you do then please let us know by mentioning it in the comment box below.

So, here are some important tips, tricks, and suggestions which you should follow while preparing for mathematics for the board exams.

NCERT – the big thing

Complete the NCERT textbook first, this is very important to do. One should finish up with the NCERT book before going to some CBSE 12th PCM reference books. Most of the questions come directly from the NCERT textbook on the board exam.

If you will practice the maths previous year or sample papers then you will come to know that all the questions are from the NCERT books. The way of asking the question may be different, but no one can say that the questions are out of the syllabus.

The best thing would be studying complete maths NCERT including miscellaneous exercises.

Formula to learn Formulas

No need to mention that maths is all about formulas, you will find yourself in some situations where the questions are pretty easy to answer but since you don’t know the formula therefore you have to leave it. Therefore to avoid such situations you should learn formulas.

Learn each and every formula, this is a must step, and you must learn each and every formula. You can get 15 extra marks just by remembering the formulas.

Maintain a pocket diary, write important formulas on it and keep revising it until you become the master in every formula and derivation.

Mug them or understand them, does not matter how you learn the formulas, but if it’s maths you are preparing then you have to learn the formulas.

Practice it, reading won’t help

Practice mathematics and not read it, Most of the students does not practice mathematics, they just read it out and think that they can do well in exams. But this is not like that, you must practice even an easy question with full attention and focus.

It often happens in maths that students think they can easily solve the questions, but later when the questions show up in the exam, then their mind goes blank. The only thing they remember at that time is the picture of the question and not the method to solve it.

The Perfect time

Practice mathematics at night time, during free time in school, and not in the morning. Use morning time to learn the formulas.

We get sluggish in our free time, therefore, it is hard to practice other subjects like physics and chemistry as they can get boring, but maths is a subject that will keep you busy.

Also, at night, our body is exhausted and tend to sleep, but again maths will keep you away from sleep. Since at night time, the noise and disturbance are less, therefore it is easy to focus.

No loopholes

Find out your weak points and work hard on them, clear your doubts with your friends and teachers before it gets too late.

This mistake costs a lot to most of the students, if you are facing problems regarding some question or topic then you should clear it right away. Now don’t tell me that you have no one to ask because there is always someone that you can ask.

Life is going to be hard for you if you feel shy to ask for your teacher’s help. So leave that attitude right now and go clear your doubts by asking them to your teacher.

No sample papers, no 90+ for you

Do not let any sample and previous year paper go. Solve them with full focus, this will make you predict the pattern of the board exams. Do you know that you can secure extra 20% marks just by solving the previous year papers?

Don’t be afraid of chapters like Integration. Just find the previous years questions of integration and solve them and other questions of their type. Most of the questions from integration repeat every year. So don’t practice useless questions.

Your chances to score more marks increases if you do practice sample papers and practice papers.

Be brave

Last and most important, don’t fear mathematics, practice it just like other subjects. Just feel it is easy and then start your practice with all your determination and concentration, you will definitely win.

So that’s all I have to say, hope these tips will help you in your board exams. Please feel free to drop your comments if you have any complaints or suggestions or queries to make.

All the very best for your board exams.
